Our Story

Groove Girls started in 2019 as a community surf group on the Gold Coast, created to bring women together through a shared love of the ocean. What began as a small group of women surfing together has grown into a mission that reaches far beyond our roots on the Gold Coast.

Today, Groove Girls has evolved into a community that brings women together through surf, snow and shared experiences, hosting surf retreats, snow trips and community events across Australia and internationally. Whether we’re chasing waves, exploring the mountains, learning something new or simply enjoying good times with good people, our mission remains the same. Creating a welcoming and empowering space where women can connect, gain confidence and have fun along the way.

You don’t need to be the most experienced surfer, snowboarder or skier, and you certainly don’t need to have it all figured out. Groove Girls is about stepping outside your comfort zone, building confidence, trying new things and surrounding yourself with women who will cheer you on every step of the way.

We welcome women of all ages, backgrounds and levels, and celebrate the individuality and strengths that each person brings to our community. Whatever your experience level, whatever your goals, and wherever you’re at in your journey, Groove Girls is a community where you can show up exactly how you are. There’s a place for you here xx
