Who we are
The most inclusive girl gang to hit Australia’s east coastline. Groove Girls began as an all-female surf group based on the Gold Coast, Australia, and since has evolved into an international movement to encourage women to step outside their comfort zones, connect with like-minded individuals & simply be in an environment that is empowering for all women - whether that be surf or snow.
Stephanie Teixeira, the founder of Groove Girls says, “We’re all about challenging gender stereotypes, facing our fears and creating a safe environment for women to come together and have some fun”.
We’re here to inspire women of all walks of life whilst embracing our differences. Our goal is to inspire women from diverse backgrounds, celebrating our unique strengths both on the waves and on the slopes. We’ve expanded our horizons and are thrilled to be incorporating not only our regular Gold Coast Group Surfs, but also Surf Retreats and Snow Trips - all with the same mission in mind.
We invite you all to come surf, paddle, snowboard, ski or simply have a laugh with us. It doesn’t matter what age you are, what your skill level is, we want you to come along! It takes some guts to get step outside your comfort zone, but Groove Girls is here to help tear down those intimidation barriers that’s stopping you. We welcome all abilities, all ages, all colours & all boards. The only way to improve is if you leave those worries behind and get out there. So, let’s get it girls.
