We welcome you to join us this January for a 7-night Japan Snow Trip that’s all about having fun, progressing your skills and meeting other like-minded individuals with a community that supports you. This trip is best suited for riders who have some previous snow experience and can safely & confidently get down a green run. Each day we will be exploring different mountains within in Hakuba Region, riding some of the best pow in the world, immersing ourselves in Japanese culture & indulging in their amazing food.
Our guides will be with you the entirety of the trip to show you around the different mountains, give loads of tips and encouragement and provide a safe space so you can progress your riding. There will be loads of opportunities for you to ride powder, progress your skills, improve your park riding & learn some ground tricks.
There’s no better way to hit the slopes than with a bunch of like-minded, supportive girls, making friends and improving your skills in a safe and encouraging environment. Unless you’ve been going to the snow from a young age, we understand that getting involved in these sports can be quite daunting and intimidating. Our goal is to gain you confidence in the snow, whilst you hang with the raddest bunch of ladies you could possibly ask for. Participants must be 18+.

Return transfer bus from Narita or Haneda Airport to Hakuba (option of returning to Shinjuku on the way back to spend some time in Tokyo)

If you are bringing your own gear we are able to deduct $100 off the price. If you already have an Epic Pass we are able to deduct $400 off the price.
Schedule
2 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on. (OFF DAY: option to add an extra day of skiing/snowboarding). A detailed itinerary will be sent out 2 weeks before commencement of trip.
Ability Level
We require that you have some previous snowboard/ski experience and can confidently and safely get down a green run. This is to ensure we can all safely explore the different mountains in the Hakuba region & ride together as much as possible.
Is there option to add lessons?
Most definitely! If you feel like you'd benefit from having a lesson these are the two options: 2hr lesson - $90pp, Full Day - $160pp. Please let us know of this asap so we can secure your lesson booking in advance.

Accommodation
We will be staying on-mountain in Happo-One, Hakuba - located directly across from the main Happo-One Gondola & less than a 10 minute walk to the main part of the village. The bus stops the near the hotel allow access to all the different mountains in the Hakuba Region, of which we will aim to explore a different mountain each day.
Travel/Flights
Each guest is responsible for their own travel/flights to Japan - after that we have the rest covered! We will organise your bus transfer from either Narita Airport or Haneda Airport to our accomodation in Hakuba. We recommend booking your flights as soon as possible & letting us know of your arrival time so we can secure your bus time early.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement that each guest takes out their own comprehensive travel insurance that covers for snow sports. We require proof of insurance 30 days prior to the start of the trip.
Food
Hot breakfast is included daily, as well as 1 x group dinner at our accom. On the other nights, we will explore the village as there are plenty of delicious food options & bars walking distance from our accomodation.
Itinerary
An in-depth itinerary will be provided closer to the dates. Our first ski/snowboard day will be Sunday the 19th of January.
On Mountain Guiding
Our guides will be with you the entirety of our time on the slopes to show you around the different mountains in the Hakuba Region. This will be a safe space to show you around the mountain whilst providing heaps of tips & encouragement to improve your riding.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Upon booking, we require a $500 initial deposit to secure your booking. We require that the remaining balance is paid before the 15th of November 2024 (OPTION FOR PAYMENT PLAN). We will contact you via email to complete the outstanding balance. Please expect emails a few days after the deposit has been paid. If you would like to request a payment plan, once you’ve paid your deposit please email us at groovegirls@outlook.com.
Please note deposits are non-refundable. If you fail to complete the outstanding payment by 15/10/24 we will assume that you are no longer joining us, your spot will be listed back on our website & your deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your trip for a medical reason or emergency we will offer a refund up until 15/11/24 (excluding deposit). Within the 8.5 weeks leading up to the retreat, we will not be able to issue a refund. However, we will accept the your spot being sold to another person during this time. Please inform us of any changes.
We are a small business and cancellations can put us in a very hard place. So from past experience we are being firm on a non-refundable deposit. We strongly advise taking out booking/trip cancellation insurance to protect you from unforeseen circumstances out of your control that may lead to a cancellation and a loss of investment.
